I didn't try Akira method yet but the result don't look that nice from the youtube videos i saw.

I see that when i try to open Motion cature (Utilities Tab > Motion Capture) i get "Error: Could not open MIDI device" and NI Mate support MIDI. for Blender but could maybe be adapted to 3d studio. It's for the wii but could maybe work with kinects skeleton bones. "Using Processing, Midi Yoke, Ableton Live and 3D Studio Max Motion Capture Controller, I was able to transmit movement from the WiiChuck to 3D Studio Max via MIDI. Result seems not bad from the last youtube video. Work in real time in 3d studio max but cost more than 700 $USD. Ipi is great and can use 2 kinects but is not "real time" mocap.Īnd the rendering take ages.
